Somebody just told me that the best selling book in the UK at the moment is Gareth Gates autobiography! Je-sus, he's barley old enough to write, never mind have an autobiography!!!!

David Beckham's at work (to the extent that he is involved) on a second volume of autobiography and he's still in his twenties. Is Gareth at #1 any worse than loads of books that get to #1 in the charts? Why are we fussed?

This is like being in one of those courtrooms where someone has to explain to the judge that the Beatles were a popular beat combo. Gareth Gates was runner up in our find-a-pop-star TV show, Pop Idol, and has had a very similar level of success to winner Will Young since.

Perhaps all of these people, maybe including Darius and Hear'Say as well, are completely unknown in America?
