Simply indefensible? Or an integral part of certain local economies, plus the fact that most of the sex workers are Buddhists who are racking up lots of karmic points so they don't mind anyway?

I'm suddenly taken with the idea of a variant of the Robert Palmer song called 'Simply Indefensible', in which he would detail all the things that were a definite no-no.

I was in Bangkok's notorious Pat Pong district a couple of months back and I can tell you that it = dud. In fact the most exciting thing I did there was find an internet cafe and post to I Love Music.

Paying for sex = dud.

Sex tourists = beery and boory. Make me ashamed to be from the same hemisphere.

Cf. "Butterfly Stories" by William Vollmann. Concerns subject at hand, and quite possibly the most brilliant american novel of under 350 pages.
