HBO "Kings Point", anyone see this documentary about sad old Florida ppl

I grew up in South Florida and only left a couple of years ago, and essentially this nails the whole weird tragic vibe of that place = poor old fucks cut off from their families dwelling on that while at the same time living this bizarre college life, interspersed with numerous deaths, in any of a billion retirement communities waiting behind rows of manicured trees on both sides of seemingly every major road - that it felt like I was right back home again, like I hadn't actually escaped, and I felt strange and miserable watching it, and now it's over and I don't know if there's anything else to say, but then here's this thread

this was my grandma's retirement community. i never liked going down there because of how isolated it felt -- nothing in walking distance, and very little going on in the surrounding area. but grandma made a lot of friends there and enjoyed the activities, so that's the important thing.

tbh there is something very likeable about many of them individually, but en masse they are awful!
