Well I prefer mango chutney, especially the spiced type.

spicy mango chutney is very good, but the complex thrill of lime pickle just goes with so much stuff

i used to not like lime pickle but i was a fool

like Twiglets you have to put the work in to get to love it which i like in a food

I've tried other lime pickles and always found them too salty. Patak's is my favourite. Their brinjal pickle is also a favourite of mine. Love it on a chicken sandwich.

it's amazing tho, splash of tabasco on the banana if you're that way inclined, winter flavour bombs in yr mouth

I just toasted some bread and put chunky peanut butter and tomato pickle on it after reading this thread and holy fuck. total revelation to me. tried some dried banana on it, too, which was good but a little unnecessary,really I got enough sweetness from the peanut butter

it's my own spin on something i had at a hikers' cafe one time. can see the banana not working so well with tomato pickle, the sourness of lime pickle balances it out better

I'm about to try the lime pickle/peanut butter/banana combination. I really hope this isn't some food-based prank, because it's going to be my lunch.

Oh hey -- I just had lime pickle for the first time a couple weeks ago, courtesy a Pakistani friend. Had never even heard of it before, but it was delicious.

Verdict: pretty good, but I think two sweet ingredients plus the pickle might be unnecessary. Might try it next time with either banana or peanut butter, not both. STAND DOWN EVERYONE.
