Punctuating a question with a period C/D????

Whatever, you know, no big deal... just throwing the question out there. wouldn't surprise me if nobody answers, but who cares, i don't.

i do this. i dont know why. i used to be a perfectionist where grammar and punctuation are concerned yet now i just do what feels right at the time.

Dud, for me: it always seems as if the sentence falls flat at the end, in a very anticlimactic way.

I like it when other people do this in rhetorical questions. It's not for everyone.

I agree that it works best with rhetorical questions. But I have found that it's almost always used by males, presumably in order to avoid looking too eager or something. In which case, dud.
