Normally don't care for his films, but I'd see that. I love the Shirley Muldowney movie, Heart Like a Wheel, and The Last American Hero, about Junior Johnson, is good too.

Wish it was Ron Howard's movie about how he left the Clash and pursued a successful second career with Big Audio Dynamite.

Once mighty Oscar bait director has been wandering the wilderness lately. And he really didn't have enough mojo to lose in the first place.

This won't be able to touch Senna, but if this means he's not longer milling around every Grand Prix garage then I'm glad he's finally made it.

Had some marginal hope for this til I saw that the terrible Peter Morgan wrote it.

this wasn't very good. i knew nothing of the story it's about going in...so there was definitely some surprises and i was certainly invested in how things were gonna term out. but it was sorta weirdly edited and the story just sorta putters around until the big event 2/3 of way through. before that there's almost nothing to care about.

Totally meh, tho there's a very generous shot of Hemsworth's bare backside very early on.

I mention because it was about the only thing of interest.

yeah really--would have enjoyed it more if they just padded it out with more of Hunt seducing hot babes since that's my enduring impression of the first 2/3rds of it.

also this movie is exhibit A in how sports movies have been reduced to essentially re-creating what it's like to watch the event on TV, complete with a redundant announcer telling you what's happening as you see it.

i thought this was pretty entertaining. daniel bruhl's great. hemsworth's solid but he can only do so much with his acting to make you forget that he looks like unfrozen caveman f1 driver when hes supposed to be this louche upper crust cad. olivia wilde: surprisingly alright!

i get what you're saying. its not super convincing how it's meant to build up the rivalry for like the first half of the movie... it's herky-jerky. once the 76 season starts it gets pretty compelling for me

Enjoyed this. Not great, but has the crate digging I wanted from American Hustle (Slade! Thin Lizzy! Mud!).

Enjoyed this one too. I thought a lot of the visual style was phoney -- Ron Howard is not Tony Scott, and he shouldn't try to be -- but the drama rang true. Like Amadeus on wheels, really.
