Worst character/actor on the US version of the Office

I voted for the nard dog because his character seemed so cliched and forced and lame. then again I dont like this show so maybe I should pour my haterade out somewhere else

ive never watched the us office, but i dont like that Clark Duke is everywhere now so im voting for him.

I voted for Brian the boom mic guy. It was better when the documentary format was just, like, an invisible narrative conceit, not a part of the show.

kinda torn between Robert Cali (some good moments, but generally a wasted opportunity in the biggest waste of a season) and Charles (I know the writers were trying to mix things up with a realistic outside character, but funny>>>>interesting & realistic in this case).

oh yeah, charles was kind of a surreal addition to the cast in that he seemed less like a caricature/sitcom character than an actual, terrifying hardass boss. i think if i recognized that guy in person my first thought would be that he must have been a coach or teacher from way back. classic for the understatement of that performance, i think.

Now that I think about it, Charles had a sweet payoff (losing face by backing Dwight a scheme too far) which made his arch worthwhile.

no way toby is great. i love the subplot of the scranton strangler, how the guilt of toby's uncertainty about the verdict is eating away at him. classic.

I am convinced that Toby is the Scranton Strangler.

lol, that would be a left-field plot twist i would actually appreciate. it would also be a nice moment of vindication for michael scott.

it is amazing how so many of these characters used to be either likable or at least plausible but here at the end of the run they are all just the worst. i can't even narrow it down to 5

I never watched the U.S. version of The Office, but I voted for Will Ferrell's character, upon general principles.

his character wasn't too bad.

I've only seen the first three seasons so this was easy: Andy Bernard is fucking annoying as hell. I get that that was the point but he seemed to come from a humor-universe that was totally different from what the rest of the show was doing. One or two good bits, but otherwise a real distraction. I guess it was a nice payoff when he went mental and punched a hole in the wall but that should have been the end of the character IMO. Rashida Jones' character from the same storyline was bland and uninteresting but much more forgettable.

i like the nard dog's cornell schtick though: how important that is to him and how unimportant it is to everyone else that he attended an ivy. it rings true.

Voted for Elba as he was 100% not funny, and clearly had no idea how to be funny, or even how to act in a comedy.

that's what was cool about him though. he was like someone dropped in from a different show, a cop show or something, all grim and bureaucratic.

Dwight became the strangest character, they just kept chugging ahead with the alpha-farmer angle and he lost the "we all know that guy" appeal completely.

Elba's sole talking-head-to-camera scene was hilars

have never been able to stomach the US Office and Rainn Wilson is easily the biggest reason. i suppose it's unfashionable to compare the show to the original, but Gareth was a great character and Dwight is terrible.

Jim. By making him better looking and less miserable they sucked a good deal of the likability from the original Tim character.

Never liked Kelly much either, but I guess you're supposed to find her annoying.

I agree with that, it makes Jim much more of a smug bully than Tim ever was.

I went for Nellie Bertram. Not sure if it's the character or Tates' acting that is the most annoying.

Never cared for Wally

I have to think it's somewhat intentional that Jim has become less like Tim over time so the audience isn't always behind him 100%.
