^maybe not relevant but given crap celebrities' fondness for hideous rhetorical question cliches as book titles I'm genuinely surprised clarkson or someone hasn't written one called "what's not to like?"

iirc "what's not to like" is a yiddishism that probably crept into US phraseology through the entertainment industry.

it seems aptly used in the entertainment industry since big movies seem to be just "this cool thing + that cool thing + that other cool thing = something of worth", e.g. "it's got both aliens and zombies, what's not to like?"

yeah, exactly. reminds me of myron cohen or w/e. not a phrase i rely on, but it doesn't offend me.

i like this phrase i use it sometimes. instead of "classic or dud" threads i think you guys (i'm too new to say "we", i think) should do "what's not to like?" threads and then people can talk about all the things they don't like.
