I was telling a story. It wasn't me, I don't have herpes!".

I didn't call her out for it, but I wonder if I should have — though it's problematic for a twenty-something white man to publicly accuse a fifty-something Latina woman of racism even when the accusation is completely justified.

she was sitting like 20 feet away from him at the same table (this is a festival so the tables are very long and interconnected). what he was saying was clearly affecting her too.
