clutch study aid or the recreational drug? adhd miracle or over-prescribed poison?

i've had a somewhat limited experience w amps, but i'm convinced the over-prescription of adderall/ritalin/vyvanse/concerta is an insane tragedy for our country's children. the stuff fucks you up and fast. i'm fascinated by people who can function and use the stuff responsibly, because taking adderall for me is a transcendent, almost religious experience of pure euphoria and godlike energy. i had to stop because it's just too good.

fuck giving this stuff to 6-year-olds

I had a prescription in college. It was hard to sleep and I was anxious all the time. I developed severe depression but idk if that was related. Either way i quit taking it and felt better within a few months when i stopped craving it. Dud

I have taken Adderall only twice. The first pill has no discernable effect whatsoever; the second, a higher dose, also didn't have its intended effect but did make my heart beat really fast for the next few hours. I thought to check my blood pressure; it had gone through the roof. Very scary. Didn't do anything to make me more alert or energetic.
