i've never been into soap. i think i have like old spice body wash in my shower right now but i don't even know. is it dangerous for your skin to use cheap soap that's full of chemicals?

I use this. It is just excellent soap. Lathers well. No fragrance (but smells a bit soapy). One bar lasts about 4x longer than a bar of Ivory soap. Costs me about a buck a bar, on sale.

Yeah, I took a whiff of once of these because I figured with names like those, they'd probably make me smell like gin or something, but one of them smelled like Smarties.

it's expensive-ish, but the molton brown black pepper one is amazing.

bronner OTM but the peppermint variety stings in places, i prefer the almond or tea tree flavors

Proraso shaving stuff is fantastic but i rarely see it outside of Italy.

I get everything else from Korres (ordered direct from Greece at less than half the price elsewhere) but their solid soaps can be a little hard. Molton Brown are a good bet.

I just use Original Source stuff for everything - cheap, readily available in the UK, smells good, no animal ingredients. Never use the black peppermint shower gel on yr privates though, did it once and it felt like someone had set fire to my balls.

I was always fond of oatmeal soap -- it has that nice slight scratchiness too it that really invigorates the skin. Yardley is a pretty good name brand non-expensive one. Doesn't come in particularly manly packaging if that's what you seek.

I usually just get giant things of whatever is cheap at costco, but I'm really sick of the shittiness of irish spring.

Irish Spring leaves behind the most horrible soapscum ever, and I and others bathtub cleaners have banned it from our homes.

lever, the other thing usually cheap, is like half a notch better but not great. I refuse to use ivory, it just disintegrates.
