I feel like this is blasphemy considering where I grew up, but I do not like Old Bay.

I'm so boring. I have to go with regular.

Why are ketchup chips virtually non-existent in the US?

Humpty Dumpty used to make ketchup chips. They tasted like fries with ketchup and were pretty good. They also made clam chips which were not good.

EZ Snappin, Friday, 14 June 2013 01:32 (twelve years ago)

sorry, Hungry4Ass, i cut & pasted from the Utz website

because unlike in various godforsaken parts of the world, we have fresh ketchup widely available

i have never had crab chips, i guess i'll get them sometime but i also am not impressed by old bay. i like carolina bbq (maybe just because of the color of the package, not sure i can distinguish from the other bbqs) and salt and vinegar and sour cream and onion.

Amazed to discover these really exist, I thought "Mad Men" invented them. Never seen 'em in Canada, I know that much.

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Tuesday, 18 June 2013 11:25 (twelve years ago)

my go-to snack, at least three times a week, between lunch and dinner was:

- 1 litre bottle of coca-cola
- 1 large bag of red-hot utz

i read that now and basically want to throw up

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Tuesday, 18 June 2013 11:25 (twelve years ago)

I wish there were kettle-cooked crab chips. I would eat them.

http://www.steirische-spezialitaeten.at/images/stories/magazin/chips-mit-kuerbiskernoel.jpg However, while I am in exile in Austria, the pumpkin seed oil chips I can get and you can't are mighty, mighty fine.

Three Word Username, Tuesday, 18 June 2013 12:08 (twelve years ago)

yes, i would have voted crab

I realized in the middle of cooking dinner last night that I had somehow run out of Old Bay. I should have my MD driver's license revoked.
