I Am Anticipating THE VINEYARD The New ABC Family "Docu-Soap" About Life & Love On Martha's Vineyard!

I lived there for six years and i TOTALLY could have played the part of the sassy problem drinker who has authority problems but who also secretly has...a heart of gold! oh well.

ABC Family’s newest original docu-series, The Vineyard , is set against the idyllic backdrop of Martha’s Vineyard, MA, and features the island’s iconic Black Dog Tavern. The series follows a mix of locals and transplants living and playing together for the summer. Rounding out the cast of seven girls and four guys is a Latin pop princess, a hopeless romantic and a pre-med student, just to name a few. It’s sure to be an intriguing combination of new friends, new rivals and tight quarters, all resulting in a summer of trouble and romance. The Vineyard is created and executive-produced by Dave Broome (Biggest Loser) and Brian Smith (Masterchef).

Mary Elizabeth Surprenant If this were really like life on the vineyard, these too perfect people would be too busy working 2 or 3 jobs to pay the bills to cavort on the beach all the damn time. And no one who lives here all the time actually wears Black Dog t shirts. The only reason I would watch, is to see if I see anyone I know in the background...you know, the people who are working.

Chesley Wiseman So excited for this to air! I feel so lucky that the place I call home is the backdrop for a summer tv series. It's not meant to 'showcase' the natives, mimic 'real' island life, or pretending to be reality at all. It's a TV show that used the island as their beautiful set for a summer drama series on abc family and it will be so neat to see my home on television

this show is scary bad. its like a bad porn film with no porn. its scripted and none of the people on it our actors. i hope none of them are actors. they all probably want to be. obviously. but, man....

and the whole thing is set up so that you see as little of the actual people and places around them as possible. they must have edited out a ton of gawkers. they really don't want real life intruding.
