if you've seen less than 3 new movies in 2013 i suppose that's ok but you could always wait until you've seen 4-5 and then narrow it down to 3 or somethin

i feel like there's been some good shit floatin around though. the other yearly movie thread is always more popular than this one which is also ok.

I've seen very few movies this year and they were all Hollywood blockbuster-type movies so I'm not going to answer this beyond saying I really, really enjoyed Iron Man 3. I would really like to see An Oversimplification of Her Beauty, though; also, a good friend of mine is doing the music for a film called Knockaround Kids that I haven't had the chance to see yet but did well at the Roxbury International Film Festival (the writer/director won the Emerging Filmmaker Award).

In A World… came out a couple of months ago in the UK. Didn't get a whole lot of promotion. Was good, though I seem to remember the nice hipster boyfriend plot was bad and wrong.
