How often do you clean your house?

Not just the pick up clothes, put away books, etc. but really clean. Dust the back of the TV, sweep behind the washer machine or refridgerator, move the couches and vaccuum underneath etc..

A few times a week, a little bit at a time. Doing big cleanup cycles results in my not cleaning enough. Regular small bursts is more maintainable for me.

A little bit at a time, over the course of 5-10 years.

If you keep doing it, yes.

I mop at least once a week, usually at night while watching the electric teevee. I'm lax about the shower stall because the doors make it a pain in the ass.

first I think it's time I kick a little verse! (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 20 August 2013 19:48 (twelve years ago)

What's a work band?

I do this shit September-May. Then I forget about it for three months.

rumor has it that the best way to force yourself to clean the house is to spray beer all over it. why, just last week i accidentally tested this out by opening up a homebrewed gift from a friend. as soon as I popped the lid off of the growler, the beer exploded with a power that i have never before witnessed. it sprayed onto the ceiling, floor, and all four walls of my bedroom. then it sprayed onto all six faces of the hallway. finally, it sprayed all over the bathroom. after the beer volcano had finished erupting there was a single sip left. truly delicious!

but anyway, having three rooms somehow completely covered in magic explosion beer really forced me to make cleaning my house a priority. never before have i scrubbed my ceiling with so much urgency.

btw does anyone want a free homebrewed growler? just make sure you open it up in a river or something

That is a bible parable iirc

We can't move the washing machine because it's connected to pipes in the walls, but I do stuff that may fall within this category (dusting/cleaning in hard to reach places or cleaning out cabinets and the like) every few months when the mood hits me or when I suddenly realize how filthy something is. I vacuum under the couch when we rearrange furniture or move, whichever comes first.
