I'm quite a fan of doing MJ style moves to Vitalic.

totally and utterly classic. i do mincy little Tyrannosaurus Rex hand/arm movements to "Welcome to the Jungle" (elbows pinioned invisibly to ribs) though i am not sure anyone is amused but me

Actually particularly good when walking from one tent to another at some festival, I remember at Homelands UK prancing out of Jeff Mills and stopping in time to the beat and doing little spins and stuff, it was so classic.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 16:06 (twenty-three years ago)

i can *only* dance this way.

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 16:10 (twenty-three years ago)

(you're all shocked, i know.)

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 16:10 (twenty-three years ago)

I often find myself drunkenly instigating spontaneous bouts of doe-si-doeing to house on occasions. It's amazing how well it goes down...

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 16:20 (twenty-three years ago)

jess your royalty checks are pending

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 16:32 (twenty-three years ago)

it helps of course that my arms are just flippers.

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 16:39 (twenty-three years ago)

So THAT'S why you can't do capital letters.

Andrew L (Andrew L), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 16:47 (twenty-three years ago)

blame the thalidomide.

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 17:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I read this as "Tweet dancing to hard music"

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 17:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Di to thread!

Ess Kay (esskay), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 20:16 (twenty-three years ago)

Classic: Dancing in Bill Cosby slow-mo to hard music

kinski (kinski), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 21:29 (twenty-three years ago)

i just do the mashed potato to everything. so, classic.

di smith (lucylurex), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 21:35 (twenty-three years ago)

That 'dance' which involves twirling your index fingers around each other and then alternately pointing each one across your chest at about a 30 degree angle, which absolutely infuriates 'serious' rock/ punk/ disco dancers (and is therefore by definition classic and necessary to a well-ordered society): does it have a name? (I'm pretty sure the hand-jive Eric Clapton sings about is different). If not, shouldn't somebody give it one?

BJ, Wednesday, 2 October 2002 22:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Classic. I can only dance this way, too. I just got stuck doing "Dance This Mess Around" routines somewhere in the early Eighties.

Arthur (Arthur), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 22:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Dancing in Bill Cosby slow-mo to hard music

"You got yer hippin' and yer hoppin' and yer bippin' and yer boppin'"

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 23:15 (twenty-three years ago)

heh, "don't know what the jaaaaaaaaaaazz, is all about".

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 23:19 (twenty-three years ago)

dance like a robot

ducklingmonster, Thursday, 3 October 2002 00:08 (twenty-three years ago)

rener and the DV's dance to "love will tear us apart" has to be seen to be believed. it involves cheeky grins and chirpy thumbs aloft. it is also annoyingly infectious and always infiltrates my gothic two-step.

angela (angela), Thursday, 3 October 2002 09:55 (twenty-three years ago)

I dance like KATE BUSH to everything! Hooray for "the flail".

Sarah (starry), Thursday, 3 October 2002 10:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Do you "Roll the Ball" too, Starry? That's my fave.

Dr. C (Dr. C), Thursday, 3 October 2002 10:42 (twenty-three years ago)

I dance like Elaine Benes to everything, I can't help it. It's a hideous accident of birth that I was born with the "bad dancer" gene.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 3 October 2002 11:03 (twenty-three years ago)

I demand an MPG of Nicole dancing NOW. You can't reference the funniest Seinfeld episode ever and not back it up.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 3 October 2002 11:21 (twenty-three years ago)

You have to pay, Dang, just like the rest of my fans.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 3 October 2002 11:23 (twenty-three years ago)

Ooh yes Dr. C. It's a classic move! The cartwheel sadly never goes down too well on a crowded dancefloor.

Kate Bush dancing on rollerskates ie the SAT IN YORE LAP video = k-klassik!

*dons dunce hat*

Sarah (starry), Thursday, 3 October 2002 11:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Do the Carlton Banks!

Michael Bourke, Thursday, 3 October 2002 15:10 (twenty-three years ago)

You have to pay, Dang, just like the rest of my fans.

Despite being at work, I almost clicked on that URL to see if it was fake or real.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 3 October 2002 16:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Why am I not surprised?
