The bill from your restaurant? Your childhood nightmare suppliers? A TV show? Explain yerself. ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 3 October 2002 19:14 (twenty-three years ago)

They filmed round my house when I lived in Wimbledon. Housemate opened door to JIM CARVER! I was not in at the time. Chiz.

RickyT (RickyT), Thursday, 3 October 2002 19:15 (twenty-three years ago)

You must have been really sick of dodging tennis balls by the time you moved.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 3 October 2002 19:23 (twenty-three years ago)

Is it true that every scene in The Bill has to have a copper in it (ie nothing from the crim's p.o.v.)?

I find the hour-long Bill format a little TOO rich...

Andrew L (Andrew L), Thursday, 3 October 2002 19:23 (twenty-three years ago)

Hahahahahahaha, never heard THAT one before, Dan. Next you'll be talking about Wombles.

RickyT (RickyT), Thursday, 3 October 2002 19:43 (twenty-three years ago)

My originality is what makes me so gosh-darned adorable.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 3 October 2002 19:48 (twenty-three years ago)

no mark. abt a few years ago they made some drastic changes. it's too much like other cop shows now.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 3 October 2002 20:18 (twenty-three years ago)

I stopped watching it after Jaye Griffiths left (sigh)

N0RM4N PH4Y, Thursday, 3 October 2002 20:20 (twenty-three years ago)

no it isn't: the only change was the hour-long change (except burning down the station to get rid of lots of characters but that wasn't like other cops whos that was like when the plane crashed into emmerdale farm)

i watch all the others as well

*goes to site*

DC Duncan Lennox goes on surveillance to catch Sun Hill's serial killer. Although he spends more time spying on the Acting D.I's rear end.

It's Dan's new favorite TV show!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 3 October 2002 20:25 (twenty-three years ago)

i wd link to the slash site Jasmine Alley but it seems to be in abeyance currently

It's no Law and Order.

rosemary (rosemary), Thursday, 3 October 2002 20:31 (twenty-three years ago)

Mmmmmmm thank you Mark.

(If you like the Bill you should come to Crouch End where you are almost guaranteed to see Matt Boyden, last time I saw him he was carrying a pizza up the hill. Previously spotted in Budgens & the Hogshead. He seems like a bit of a tosser.)

Emma, Friday, 4 October 2002 07:13 (twenty-three years ago)

He seems like a bit of a tosser

Not on the evidence you've given us. Presumably if he was going downhill he'd simply roll the pizza.

Surely the most intriguing question 'bout the Bill is:

WHOSE FEET ARE THOSE????

MarkH (MarkH), Friday, 4 October 2002 07:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey, did someone mention the Wombles? I <3 the Wombles. I think we should do an ILE wombles show and represent SW London. I wd be Madame Cholet or Orinoco.

Sarah (starry), Friday, 4 October 2002 07:39 (twenty-three years ago)

no one still on the show, surely?

tho i always think of them as june acland's and tony stamp's, but i wz once told they are actually both women, and of a size, so they cd stay in step easier (this may not be true)

mark s (mark s), Friday, 4 October 2002 07:40 (twenty-three years ago)

tony stamp haha why not go all the way and call him tony chestnut

mark s (mark s), Friday, 4 October 2002 07:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Sarah: have I ever mentioned that my ex-wife shagged a womble? Sadly not a tiny creature that lived underground, but the drummer in the touring band. He might have lived underground for all I know, actually. This is going back quite a few years, obv.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 4 October 2002 10:55 (twenty-three years ago)

WHOSE FEET ARE THOSE????

They had the actors who own the feet on daytime TV a few years ago. Lets just say they had faces that made it clear why their role is restricted to foot-actors.

It's a shame that hardly anyone on the bill says "you're going down, you slag" any more, so I have to find some new reasons to watch.

Sofa King Alternative (Sofa King Alternative), Friday, 4 October 2002 11:08 (twenty-three years ago)

''no it isn't: the only change was the hour-long change (except burning down the station to get rid of lots of characters but that wasn't like other cops whos that was like when the plane crashed into emmerdale farm)''

There's much more abt the private lives of the police officers rather than the cases (bit more american: not a bad thing but it lost what was distinctive abt it). the stretch to one hour killed it. i really used to watch it week in, week out but ITV fucked it up.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Saturday, 5 October 2002 08:54 (twenty-three years ago)

have I ever mentioned that my ex-wife shagged a womble?

sorry.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 5 October 2002 14:15 (twenty-three years ago)

haha. I'm not a/the womble... [I just realised how that could be totally misunderstood]

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 5 October 2002 14:17 (twenty-three years ago)

She shagged the womble before I met her, not while we were together. It's not a bitter memory, more the crappest namedropping imaginable.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 5 October 2002 14:26 (twenty-three years ago)

I still feel sorry. I can't help it.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 5 October 2002 14:30 (twenty-three years ago)

three years pass...
some things never stop being true

(chupa cabras is fled tho, yes?)

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 18:56 (nineteen years ago)

The Simpsons have been airing for about 60% of my life.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 19:08 (nineteen years ago)

yeah whatever happened to chupa cabras

POOP BITCH (Mandee), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 19:51 (nineteen years ago)

The Simpsons started when I was in kindergarten and I hope it ends when I graduate college. That would be perfect.

Abbott (Abbott), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 20:04 (nineteen years ago)

wowzers, im way older than you.

POOP BITCH (Mandee), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 20:26 (nineteen years ago)

I once slept with a girl who didn't remember Soviet Union. That was kinda scary.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 20:31 (nineteen years ago)

Er, that sounded sleazier than intended, she wasn't a high schooler or anything.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 20:35 (nineteen years ago)

the chupa cabra is hibernating. he'll be back

latebloomer: band to the planet mars (latebloomer), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 20:58 (nineteen years ago)

pretty soon tuomas will be able to give detailed high-level lectures in geopolitical history based solely on the misperceptions of everyone he ever cuddled

DARE YOU ATTEND?
