That you know about. AND - here's the crucial question - how do you know when someone loves you?

Tom (Groke), Friday, 4 October 2002 09:55 (twenty-three years ago)

In order: one, and if they phone you over 10 times in the day after you dump them.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 4 October 2002 09:57 (twenty-three years ago)

1)one. 2)cos i can't think of any other reason why someone would wanna spend heaps of time around me.

di smith (lucylurex), Friday, 4 October 2002 09:59 (twenty-three years ago)

You only know by setting up an advanced SENSOR ARRAY that detects love rays from the brane of yr trapped suspect. And even then it only lasts for about five seconds before LOVE DECAY sets in so make a print out and take two copies for file purposes. It will come in handy when you are old and can't get research funding any more and live in a garret in Brighton with mangy cats and a faint scent of wee wee.

Sarah (starry), Friday, 4 October 2002 10:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Heaps of gurls have been in luv with me! You know when gurls are in love with you because they flick their hair back.

gazza, Friday, 4 October 2002 10:04 (twenty-three years ago)

everyone on TV is in love with me: i know by english usage — why else wd it be called "turning the TV on"?

also the way they look at me out of the screen esp.that slut trevor mcdonald

mark s (mark s), Friday, 4 October 2002 10:11 (twenty-three years ago)

none probably, I have no idea. I don't think I'm that loveable.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 4 October 2002 10:16 (twenty-three years ago)

Only one.

Marcello Carlin, Friday, 4 October 2002 10:18 (twenty-three years ago)

Spacestation Pongo whispers "i wub woo" into my ear each night as I sleep. Ours is an eternal love.

Sarah (starry), Friday, 4 October 2002 10:24 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't know, maybe one. All these relationship threads are scaring me out of actually wanting to start the relationship I think I'm about to start.

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 4 October 2002 10:28 (twenty-three years ago)

some girls, a few boys

sometimes they tell me.

it almost always makes me sad

gabriel rodriguez-doerr (gabe), Friday, 4 October 2002 10:29 (twenty-three years ago)

all the gurls are in love with me 'cause i'm a teenage lobotomy

unknown or illegal user (doorag), Friday, 4 October 2002 10:29 (twenty-three years ago)

1) three
2) they told me and I believed them

live in a garret in Brighton with mangy cats and a faint scent of wee wee
Meep!

Ronan: feel the fear and do it anyway.

Archel (Archel), Friday, 4 October 2002 11:14 (twenty-three years ago)

I am useless about figuring this kind of thing out, I always get kind of incredulous at the very idea. And I'm not very good at describing how I know -- I just do.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 4 October 2002 11:17 (twenty-three years ago)

Only one, I'm pretty sure. We were together for 23 years, and I believe she was in love with me for 20-22 of those.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 4 October 2002 11:32 (twenty-three years ago)

1. one 2. they show emotional vulnerability way above and beyond the norm

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Friday, 4 October 2002 12:40 (twenty-three years ago)

About as many as I have, you know. Most of them actual relationships, one relationship where I never knew until it was over (wouldn't have changed anything anyway), one "why is this nice friend I had sex with once constantly calling me oh NO", and one case of unrequited-love-in-turns (the WORST).

Colin Meeder (Mert), Friday, 4 October 2002 12:58 (twenty-three years ago)

To the first -- more than I ever would have guessed back at, say, 15. To the second -- like Nicole noted, you just sense it.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 4 October 2002 14:27 (twenty-three years ago)

I think 'love' is a bit strong, but I suspect there've been a few that've lusted over me before. I could be wrong (and incredibly vain), though.

To tip the scales somewhat, there's been many, many that I've lusted over.

Andrew (enneff), Friday, 4 October 2002 14:43 (twenty-three years ago)

I could be wrong (and incredibly vain), though.

People who have seen pictures (yes yes yes I WILL SCAN THEM) from my trip proclaim you 'hot' and 'fuckable,' so play to your strengths.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 4 October 2002 14:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Quagmire: "Alll riiight." *snaps fingers*

Andrew (enneff), Friday, 4 October 2002 14:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned, why aren't you on AIM!?

Andrew (enneff), Friday, 4 October 2002 14:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Because I'm about to leave home to go to work. Dare I ask?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 4 October 2002 14:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Almost as if to taunt and mock, Ned appears on AIM for less than a second, giving me only enough time to fire off a solitary emoticon. Curse you Ned! Curse you and your cursed kind! Curses!

*shakes fist*

Andrew (enneff), Friday, 4 October 2002 14:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Eh, what? I was just trying to see if there was a huge amount of people one, and it was pretty much just you. Go find some other friends. ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 4 October 2002 14:56 (twenty-three years ago)

5 for sure. a couple more a gray area.

jess (dubplatestyle), Friday, 4 October 2002 15:08 (twenty-three years ago)

God damnit Ned. It's 2am and I needed you. *cries*

Andrew (enneff), Friday, 4 October 2002 15:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Three people have told me they love me, two of them I believe/d. The first just seemed a bit shady.

mandee, Friday, 4 October 2002 15:18 (twenty-three years ago)

No one has fallen in love with me.

rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 4 October 2002 15:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Never mind.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 4 October 2002 15:26 (twenty-three years ago)

Maybe Rosemary and N. should fall in love.

Wolfshirt, Friday, 4 October 2002 15:39 (twenty-three years ago)

No.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 4 October 2002 15:41 (twenty-three years ago)

:(

Mandee, Friday, 4 October 2002 15:46 (twenty-three years ago)

If it has happened, I haven't known about it. I am very bad at reading non-verbal signals. This is truly a great situation to be in because either a) nobody has fallen in love with me or b) someone has, but I didn't pick up on it, and may have accidentaly hurt someone's feelings. Joy!

Aaron Grossman (aajjgg), Friday, 4 October 2002 16:03 (twenty-three years ago)

With each other???

rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 4 October 2002 17:48 (twenty-three years ago)

one person has fallen in love with me.
the others lied ( in hindsight ).
i no longer believe anyone about love so wouldnt care to see if they were falling for me.

donna (donna), Friday, 4 October 2002 19:45 (twenty-three years ago)

none, although there was what felt like scary emotional overdependence. (i'm particularly hermit-like, though, so do not apply your own standard to this.)

Maria (Maria), Friday, 4 October 2002 19:49 (twenty-three years ago)

three; all three were longish-term relationships (six months, 1.5 years, 1.5 years again)

M Matos (M Matos), Friday, 4 October 2002 20:30 (twenty-three years ago)
