Ernest P. Worrell is a fictional character portrayed by American actor Jim Varney in a series of television commercials, and later in a television series (Hey Vern, It's Ernest!) as well as a series of feature films.

right in vote for shilling for Braum's, a Oklahoma dairy store/ restaurant I frequented as a child. I though Ernest was just for us back then, little did I know he was doing commercials for gas utilities, car dealerships, etc.
