So so OTM. Obviously the whole thing is awful but if it was just something they did for family and friends I would have felt sorry for them for it going viral. But it being designed to go viral makes me want to pull all of my skin off, sew it into a blanket, and hide under it.

I HATE newsletter type Christmas things. I don't care about any of this shit about yr family. If I did, I'd know it all by now. Also, this friend who does it is single and doesn't have any kids. She writes a two page newsletter about herself every single year and formats it so it read month by monty. "Didn't do much in April but in May I went to a conference in Tulsa." It's the strangest and most depressing piece of mail I get every single year.

We have a distant relative that sends out a massive 9-10 page Christmas newsletter every year that is all about him and his dogs, provides lots of holiday time hilarity ever year when it gets read aloud.

this is a cleverly designed ad for their business, disguised as a holiday card. The hashtag, the "shameless plug" "videos just like these". Also they are both in the entertainment industry. I bet they leaked to their friends in the media press releases that said "video holiday card going viral!" It's cute, but it's also loaded with ego.
