Experimental comedy, yours or otherwise

Well, admittedly so, I've embarked on a comedic project that was destined to fail as soon as it was executed, but I was feeling brave.

Plus, it's more interesting to talk about our failures, right?

Anyway, I've set up an account in a large, but dark corner of the World Wide Web. The point was to only make cultural references (some tinged with satire) that are completely foreign to most users on this hole in the digital space. Call it non-humorous comedy. I know. Deep. Who would've thought.

Thus far, it has been a disaster, but I'm learning a lot about how people react to data mentioned to them in a very casual, conversational manner. When it's most effective, people laugh, reductively, at their own joke or at least seem to get some pleasure out of it. They fill in the blanks, except with the incorrect information.

Join me as we encircle the fountain and release our creative juices.

Guys, if you recall, dylannn was a sweetheart and dedicated a Q&A thread to yours truly. Let's stay on topic and use IL XOR to its full potential.

I posted that youtube because c21m50nh3x460n wrote 'badoom-pish!', and the video begins with a guy making noises on the drums, if it wasn't clear (also the title of the video is 'Experimental comedy in Thailand 555+)

I'm more a fan of comedic experiments, like lab experiments that are funny

Act Two: Chemistry
Back To School Mr Bean
Mr Bean's Chemistry
In the chemistry laboratory, mr Bean experiments with several chemicals and makes an unstable chemical reaction, eventually causing a violent explosion, with blue smoke emerging from the laboratory. Bean manages to escape in time, but a younger student is not so fortunate and is later seen covered head to toe in a blue chemical.

four years pass...

I haven't seen/heard Hannah Gadsby aside from a radio interview, and done my best to ignore Bill Maher for years, but anyway... Matt Zoller Seitz on the past and future they embody:
