just thought you might want to complain about something, not necessarily needing an answer, just getting it out.

donna (donna), Monday, 7 October 2002 04:06 (twenty-three years ago)

I just spent an hour and a half doing that in an essay. I was pretty much complaining about myself.

I'm extremely tired and I have to deal with both the IRS and the university's financial aid department today -- both appointments have been put off by not one but two hurricanes: today is the deadline for financial aid and I'll be on the other side of the country for a week, so if things go badly, I'll return broke and unable to pay bills.

(This wouldn't be a problem if all editors paid me on time or if I hadn't spent my last check on nonessentials, on the assumption that everything was a-okay with financial aid.)

Since it's Monday on top of all that, I predict a high chance of Things Going Wrong.

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 7 October 2002 13:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Ronan, those could be song lyrics!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 7 October 2002 14:02 (twenty-three years ago)

But for what band...

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 7 October 2002 14:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't know. It's like emo-Seinfeld. (Don't hurt me.)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 7 October 2002 14:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Too late. *punishes Dan*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 7 October 2002 14:10 (twenty-three years ago)

For the first time in ages I'm working my ass off but it just feels like I'm falling behind at an accelerated pace. Figure drawing is usually kinda my forte, but the results of this term's sessions are my worst since starting art skool. I can't remember the last time I experienced two successive days without being at university. I was so tired in english class today I actually considered going to the bathroom, locking myself in the stall, and falling asleep on the toilet. I haven't gotten any action in months. (Maybe I should stop sleeping on toilets.) I smell of developer and fixer chemicals.

But these are passing problems, all fairly trivial, and I actually feel kinda happy and content right now.

I've got to shlep up to bloody Highbury to get my bag back which I left at a friends house because I AM STUPID and I quite frankly can't be arsed, sadly I need it and tonight looks like the only suitable time CHIZ.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 7 October 2002 15:51 (twenty-three years ago)

I have to go to a conference near Coventry on Wednesday. Up really early, Coventry in October, computer people talking about change control systems...

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 7 October 2002 18:30 (twenty-three years ago)

My head hurts and I'm nauseous.

Jody Beth Rosen, Monday, 7 October 2002 18:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Look on the bright side Martin - the act of leaving Coventry afterwards will be nice.

Alfie (Alfie), Monday, 7 October 2002 19:01 (twenty-three years ago)

i couldn't post as much as i liked it becuz i had a viva today and i had to revise in the morning. i missed all the talk abt burkas even though i was there, right at the beginning, on sunday evening (GMT).

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 7 October 2002 19:08 (twenty-three years ago)

haha good point Alfie. First time my brother went through Coventry, he had so much trouble with the one-way system that he theorised that the only reason anyone was living there was that they hadn't found out how to get out yet.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 7 October 2002 20:07 (twenty-three years ago)

I've been having a horrible day and been too busy to complain
