Feel free to add your own personal IUMotU or just answer mine, which is: What were the big things called in Fraggle Rock, the family who tried to catch the fraggles? If anyone can tell me I can die happy.

Mckenzie (Mckenzie), Monday, 7 October 2002 09:32 (twenty-three years ago)

you don't sound very happy.

g-kit (g-kit), Monday, 7 October 2002 09:34 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't sound dead either.

Mckenzie (Mckenzie), Monday, 7 October 2002 09:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Come on! Somebody must have a nagging question. Now is the time to find the answer. Together we are an unstoppable fountain of useless trivia. Come drink from us.

Mckenzie (Mckenzie), Monday, 7 October 2002 09:52 (twenty-three years ago)

What is an 'unsoved' mystery anyway. Curse my letter missing fingers.

Mckenzie (Mckenzie), Monday, 7 October 2002 10:04 (twenty-three years ago)

erm, how do dinosaurs get under beds? do they slip under by themselves, or get another dinosar to put the bed on top of them? i promise not to ask this on EVERY thread.

g-kit (g-kit), Monday, 7 October 2002 11:43 (twenty-three years ago)

dinosaurs lay their eggs under beds*. The baby dinosaurs hatch out and for a little while they live under there quite happily, but when they start to bang their heads they think, "Hmmm...time I moved to more suitable accommodation".

Except Compsognathus of course, which stays under the bed for its entire lifetime, as it is the size of a SMALL CHICKEN.

* to protect them from ovivores, obv.

I asked this once on a thread know-it-all N. started and I guess I stumped even him. Or something. Maybe he just wasn't interested in researching this question (I don't blame him, it's not all that interesting): Whatever happened to the two original members of Siouxsie and the Banshees who disappeared mid-tour around the time of the 2nd album?

Arthur (Arthur), Monday, 7 October 2002 13:32 (twenty-three years ago)

they were eaten by dinosaurs.

g-kit (g-kit), Monday, 7 October 2002 13:34 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't remember that question. You are right, I am not interested, but that shouldn't have been any deterrent. Hmm... I've just had a look at that thread and I can't see you asking it Arthur.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 7 October 2002 13:37 (twenty-three years ago)

What was the name of the family in Rentaghost?

Fuzzy (Fuzzy), Monday, 7 October 2002 13:42 (twenty-three years ago)

You're right, N.! I must have chickened out for some reason.

Arthur (Arthur), Monday, 7 October 2002 13:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Here's an odd thing. Rent-a-ghost has become real and it's being complained about at... unsolvedmysteries.com.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 7 October 2002 13:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Anyway, Fuzzy, which family are you talking about? Do you mean the Meakers?

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 7 October 2002 13:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Fuzzy (Fuzzy), Monday, 7 October 2002 14:05 (twenty-three years ago)

um, the two banshees were john mackay and kenny morris. kenny morris (i guess it's the same one) had a record out here: http://pages.prodigy.net/salo/ptv/temple/lamainmorte.html
and looks to have been part of adam and the ants for a while. got a few hits for john mackay too, linked in with australian rock and toyah.

How is it that I keep finding this or that household item when I don't need it, and can't find it when it is needed?

j.lu (j.lu), Monday, 7 October 2002 14:38 (twenty-three years ago)

It's either bad luck or (more likely) you are these occasions are leaving a firmer psychological imprint than the banal 'finding things when you need them' events.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 7 October 2002 14:42 (twenty-three years ago)

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 7 October 2002 14:43 (twenty-three years ago)
