Shirt Sleeves

Personally I'm a sleeves down man. Rolled up, I always feel like I'm about to do the washing up or take a motorbike to pieces or something.

I don't even OWN a shirt.

shirts for the office - rolled down

shirts for leisure - rolled up or gtfo

i never got this, why wouldn't you just wear a short sleeved shirt

cold elbow / hot forearm syndrome

winter - rolled down
summer - rolled up

more or less the first thing i do at work in the morning is roll up my sleeves

I always roll em up if i'm not wearing a jacket.

living in Austin, TX where the temp is over 100 for a good chunk of the year and working in a business casual environment, I've come to embrace short sleeved dress shirts despite their inherent dorkiness

i have strong opinions about people who care about this if it'll help cluster the fuck

nothing is not dirty, you should roll up your sleeves no matter what you're doing

short sleeved shirts make me think of
- school uniforms
- mormons on bicycles
- accountants

esp if they are plain, one-color cotton.

Definitely seems very Texan.

I used to love pastel short sleeve shirts, will probably get into them again when i get old

Long sleeves most of the time. Rolled up when I'm sweating.

Hate short sleeved shirts, don't own any. Long sleeved rolled up looks so much better on my skinny arms.

Mostly rolled down, occasionally rolled up, occasionally short-sleeved.

OMG, rolled up. Best of all are those shirts that have, like, arm-roll epaulettes (I've no idea what they're called) that fasten to a little button at your elbow and physically hold your sleeves from unrolling themselves back down again. All my favourite shirts have those things.

Short sleeves are acceptable on polo shirts, or if you are the kind of Texan rocket scientist who can whip out a slide-rule to recalculate a trajectory.

(You don't even want to know what kind of awful horrible sleeve options exist in women's wear. Thank whatever gods you fear that you never had to deal with a "cap sleeve".)

about half my shirts have sleeve buttoner-upper things but i don't find them especially helpful tbh, still have to get the roll itself right

Yes, but if you get the roll right the first time, the sleeve-epaulette keeps them from straying. Also, mostly, I just like the way they look.
