But you just wait for Act III: The Clusterfuck. It's in out of town rehearsals right now, but the dialogue still needs fixing.

I answered "No, I don't care, although given enough time I feel I might learn to"--that's the closest to the truth. I saw maybe a dozen productions a few years ago when I was trying to get a woman to like me. Some, like Death of a Salesman and Virginia Woolf, I quite liked. With others, the most truthful answer becomes "No, I don't care, but I could pretend to, just to be polite, for a short time."

"How do you see the state of the American theatre? You might ask, 'What is the state of bingo in America today?''

As long as there's me and Morbs and the guy who acted in The Crucible, there's enough for a conversation.

Being a drama geek, a sometime leading man, a sometime spear carrier, and all around backstage mooncalf during my high school years more or less ruined me for sitting in audiences watching actors emote, but it also ruined me for wanting to participate in productions, too. So... there once was a time I cared.

Ronan has made some recent forays into acting. We should get an update.

I go to the theatre maybe two or three times a year, does that count as caring? I certainly enjoy it as an artform, but don't devote as much time to it as to some other arts, partly because of the logistics... With popular plays it seems you always have to book the tickets months in advance, you can't just be like, "hey, why don't we go and see Play X tonight?", and I'm not very good at planning so far ahead. Thankfully I have a friend who's much more into theatre than me, so I can trust her to pick good plays and book the tickets etc.

ILX doesn't talk much about theatre in part because it's intrinsically local, no?

I tried as hard as I could to split the 'no' vote and 'yes' still came in 5th out of 7 choices.
