whaddya think of AVid Merrion and Bo Selecta? i love the Michael Jackson sketches (SHAMOOOOAN MUTHAFUCKA!) cos the impression is so wonderfully inaccurate - the Craig David thing is cool as are the Big Brother things (gives them something to do) and The Bear is quite funny too (Oh fuck off Steven you stupid squirrel) but i dunno how much mileage there is in the thing as a whole...still its probably the funniest thing on channel 4 right now thats british

I think it's brilliant! The first episode was the funniest as the bear was a complete shocker! Superb!

is he that awful bloke that was on BB3? and was on kids programmes before that?

I find him unbelievably punchable, really really annoying.

brilliant! i saw clips on the E4 highlights programme (along with Banzai etc) when E4 started, so it's taken a very long time to come to Channel 4, but i think this might be all new material.

i love Banzai loads, tho maybe more cos of the graphics and soundtrack rather than the quality of content itself - i really dont want to see Normski's penis again for example

I never saw it, but a long time ago I saw a ten minute sketch featuring him doing Britney Spears and, especially, Craig David. Kate Thornton interviewed David. It made me laugh so much. She compared him to Stevie Wonder. He replied with:

"It's a proper privilege for CRAAAAAAAIIG DAAAAAVID! to be compared to Stevie WOnder. I always wanted to be like him. Didn't wanna be blind though! You can fook THAT shit!"

Oh how I laughed.

Appalling, I thought. I couldn't see what there was to it but acting like a twunt. The toy bear with the erection was particularly bad, I thought - why should I want to watch someone making Liberty X, was it, look like models of dignity, intelligence and maturity?
