first track of 'foxtrot yankee hotel' or whatever the hell this is called wasn't what i expected, but track two pretty much is, i.e. inconsequential blah blah indie guitar music

that started promisingly but it was actually a spotify ad for phil collins's album of 60s covers

all of the electronic-y, semi-interesting non-guitar bits on this record are just kind of pasted on unconvincingly

it's 'pleasant enough' and i wouldn't mind/notice it in a social setting, but fourth best album of the decade?

I Am Trying To Break Your Heart is their staggering career pinnacle. The rest s just nice, occasionally really, really wel put together. Best thing about YHF is Jim O'Rourke.

PP and PKB are the 2nd and 3rd best songs on it, aye. There are no "bad" songs on YHF, though; just nothing else, anywhere in their canon, like IATTBYH.
