I voted for Born "2" Run too
it's an amazing song, lots of fun to sing along w, but it isn't a personal favorite, not sure why. prefer later & less anthemic bruce, esp "atlantic city" and "i'm on fire". well, and "blinded by the light", though that's hardly less anything...

Dion track is the real underrated classic here - a huge chunk of the rest of these are pretty well known greatest hits fodder
yeah, though that mystére de voix bulgares track came as an equally pleasant surprise. have heard later (80s era) LMDVB tracks that didn't move me anywhere near so much.
who produced the dion track? sounds like psychedelic country by way of brian eno. and phil spector. like it, but don't know that it justifies the running time.

I don't think it quite deserves "undiscovered masterpiece" status but it's pretty good yeah.

That Dion album was pretty strong, yeah. It may be argued that the Spector sound was a bit dated by 1975, but he brought out the best in Dion in terms of pop songwriting.

Gotta go with Tangled, though I would have voted for "Cortez the Killer" had it been on the list.

Going with my AM Radio memories: the Bee Gees and KC are the best AM songs here. Going Bee Gees.

^ yeah, one of my very favorite songs. my early teenage devotion to the RHPS soundtrack gave my stepdad the fantods.

Wow! Look at this list! Dylan, Springsteen, Patti Smith, the Bee Gees, Pink Floyd. So what record is the best? The award goes to: Emmylou Harris for "Boulder to Birmingham."

i knew it was gonna be Springsteen vs. Dylan; probably should've known that Born to Run would win
