mutek is a festival ... last i heard radio slave was just djing, maybe they took the opportunity to also turn it into a one off qv live thing ... i think they have other commitments in europe during the surrounding dates (i was snooping around their schedules thinking if they can be in mtl then why not toronto)

i kinda like the novelty of it and when its on its like 'aha im listening to hip instrumental vibez' but i cant imagine not looking back on this in two years like ive been spending my time on instrumental hip hop

is a disco beat really any different from a breakbeat

it kinda feels like the music is so tied to the conceptual novelty that when context changes its not gonna age real well
