It's really good, not sure if I like it as much as Heart Out, Robbers or Chocolate, but it's on par with Girls and Settle Down. If 1975 are not involved with this, then at least there's some degree of catching up here. I like the way they're channeling Scritti so much via 1975 it doesn't really sound like Scritti and totally 1975.

After not having cared that much for Take me home or Midnight Memories I suppose I'm mildly pumped up for this one.

also do they ever NOT sell out a show? i pay attention to concert calendars in four cities around the country and every time they play any of them, they sell out weeks or months in advance.

xpost i know, but you have to admit there are a lot of sketchy bands with very passionate, young female fanbases out there selling out everywhere they go. it's a thing right now, and i assumed - unfairly, i admit! - that that's what we were dealing with here.

I hear some Tears for fears in Stockholm Syndrome too; who would have thought sophistipop would be making a comeback this good.

The last minute or so of Change your ticket, the instrumental part, is a very good Blue Nile via 1975 impression.

tbh I think this song is basically perfect

"watching you get dressed / messes with my head" is such a good opening line

also the simple almost naivety of "it's not good to be all alone"

i got a ticket for tonight and omg

the crowd was awfulll. they played "medicine" for the first time ever i think. it was amazing.

holding a grudge against that crowd forever for talking full on brutally through "me" "fallingforyou" AND "is there somebody who can watch you"

"me" was really intense to hear live, briefly enhanced by the person ahead of me being really excited to hear it and describing it to her friend as "kind of a slow jam"

Yeah the live performance of "Me" really brings out its gothic qualities.

I liked Matt's intro when I saw them: "This song is about me."

the show from "settle on" is basically untouchable, i loved all the sax parts

for whatever reason one thing i kept thinking during this show is that 1975 are what bloc party could've or should've been... like if they weren't afraid of how good "i remember" was or kept making songs as dope as "flux" (i'm still sour)

I love the sax in 1975. That sealed it for me, listening to "Heart Out", then hearing the sax coming in and what were they thinking, these guys have totally lost it, they're not ordinary at all.

xxport all the media reports are suggesting they're heading in that direction. Also she dated John Mayer so all bets are off really.

It def. makes sense to me that stuff like "Haunt // Bed" and "fallingforyou" were written after the majority of the album.

More specifically:

1. You really need every single EP track.

2. Brad's piece on 1975/Haim was one of my favourites of last year.

3. This is the first time I've read ithappens' interview though and it's great.

matt and taylor are totally a type imo -- i mean... john mayer, harry styles etc

also she's seen them twice on this tour and he's a total rock star on stage

rooting for them to get together so that it might help 1975 really breakout in the US next album
