This is great, still not paying £30+ for a balcony seat to see her though. My own fault for snoozing and not getting standing tickets :-/

I like it, but part of me kind of wishes there for there to be a ripping a guitar solo in there, but I guess this is what you get with an artist who hasn't had as much experience with a guitar before.

I'm still missing the Claire Hamill x Richard D. James quality I so admired about the less poppy parts of Visions.

IDK, something a little basic about those two tracks, like it has more than hints of the swedish pop machine. Still has some good grimesian touches and not bad overall. Looking forward to hearing the rest.

I for one am shocked and disappointed the qualities that Grimes explored on Visions' non-singles are not as present on the first single for her new album.

every stray industrial percussive sound on this is a blessing

yeah not thrilled, we already have good synthy pop out there, do we need another one? didn't listen to the second song.

flesh without blood isn't as good as realiti but it's still quite nice, love that she's taken the feel of the percussion from realiti further.

don't really care for life in the vivid dream but i guess it'll probably fit as more of an interlude in the album.

Everything about this "era" has been brilliant so far. Great songs, hilarious cover, Grimes wearing wings and clutching a bloody dress.

lol, yesterday I was thinking "weird, I already can't remember how it goes, not very catchy at all" and then suddenly just now it popped out of my brain again like Alien.

get not wanting her to be this straightforwardly pop all the time but have watched this like a dozen times today

still way-recognizably her imo, brought into simple focus

After a few listens it becomes interesting just to focus on the interplay between her trademark touches and the straightforward popness.

I think I got a little worried at first when I heard the "ay-ayee-yay" and that melodic tic on "I don't SEE THE LIGHT" that's in so many songs.

haha I'm glad there's a song like this on an album called Art Angels. I can't even tell she's singing on this, but she definitely feels of this.

not super into this (mostly due to the guitars) but i respect the titular scream.

that track is kind of weird but I will try to let it sink in given my 180 on FWB. Something kind of late 90s about it in a way I can't quite place.
