haha I'm glad there's a song like this on an album called Art Angels. I can't even tell she's singing on this, but she definitely feels of this.

not super into this (mostly due to the guitars) but i respect the titular scream.

that track is kind of weird but I will try to let it sink in given my 180 on FWB. Something kind of late 90s about it in a way I can't quite place.

Scream has just ratcheted up my expectations several notches. The idea that this album might actually be brilliant hadn't really occurred to me before now.

Throw it on your Halloween party mixes, ILM.

From yt comments:
Scream (English Translation)The screams that are buried in the lungsBuried in the bones and the musclesUnexploded, undeniableCram into a sicknessWhat used to be dry is now soddenSwollen, meaty, moist and juicyMy teeth are bouncing off itA woman pulls out the headful of black hair with her bare handsWalks along the mountain ridges in a dreamRemembrance swarms like mosquitosOpening up the unfocused eyesAs if… Quick, spread the legs without desire wideI take a bite, are you still unmovedYou can scream outTracing along your spineMy fingers created a cold lakeI look around, no one is guardingThe exhibitionist takes out his coat and jumps into it with tears on his face.
I planned to record your scream as you reached orgasmBut then realize that I’ve pressed the wrong buttonThe moment has been lost, irretrievableYou lie thereStruggling with the body fluid that is getting coldSticky, transparent, elastic flowers in my palmI’m not satisfied; I want to squeeze more out of your bodyThe telephone rings at this momentA herd of deer run past the window and at the same timeBlue winds are dispelled so quickly, wiping out the foams on the margin of the worldEscaping from your half-opened eyesPicking up the phone, silence comesThe desire just awoken breathes and screams in the receiverAs I listen I lick away every drop of your sweat.hookIf you can’t scream then swallow it down.

spoilers: "california" on this album really goes for the wind-in-hair route 101 pop chorus. i wonder if she thought about phantom planet. title track a lil bit like something on ray of light, ballad after it a lil bit like something on music. nothing else as abrasive as the way-rad "scream" but "kill v maim" (lol) nicely dense and cocky. for some reason whenever i see or hear her i feel inspired, it is an unusual feeling.

4ad is down at the moment, so... will the vinyl version not feature Realiti? The cd version lists it twice as track 10 and track 15 realiti demo as a bonus track.

They should at least add it as a 7" it will probably be the best song in here.

apparently she changed Realiti a bit.

And apparently neither version is on the vinyl version :(
This leaked a couple of minutes ago btw.

New Realiti is pretty much an extended version of the demo, she adds an opening, poppier sounding verse. Not sure how I feel about it I was used to the demo version.
World Princess is the highlight on first listen but this is way too pop compared to her previous albums. Sounds like something like Kelly Clarkson. Backlash will be inevitable.

she turned it into a banger... I preferred it as the more downbeat melancholic demo version but I wouldn't call it a disappointment.
I'm not sure how I feel about this polished version of Grimes. It sounds good and there's some interesting ideas but it kind of lost that bedroom quality that set her apart. I can't make up my mind.
Lovers of early 00s pop will probably love this. At times it sounds like Kelly Clarkson and Gwen Stefani and Nelly Furtado and Britney Spears.
― ✖✖✖ (Moka), Wednesday, 4 November 2015 22:08 (eight years ago) link
Kill V Maim will be the 2nd video/single and California the 3rd.

Maybe it's an overstatement... I don't know. Just the opening minute of Kill V Maim:
0:00-0:30 = Kelly Clarkson-esque0:40-1:00 = I'm definitely hearing Gwen Stefani.
― ✖✖✖ (Moka), Wednesday, 4 November 2015 22:26 (eight years ago) link
Ok, maybe the Kelly Clarkson is a bit of an overstatement. I correct myself:
At times it sounds like Charli XCX and Gwen Stefani and Nelly Furtado

Excited to hear this. I haven't really kept up with Grimes lately, but I read this thread the other night, and now I've been playing both "Realiti" and "Flesh Without Blood" on repeat.
