With the sorts of haircuts Paul Weller has unleashed over the few decades he should not be giving anyone style advice.

It’s certainly fair to say that if this band continues to bring out songs of this standard, they could be playing to gradually increasing crowds in the future;
they want the world and they want it now

HOW HAS THE JOURNEY IN MUSIC BEEN SO FAR ?
Rory - It's mental, one minute your playing arenas and doing massive tours with your favourite bands, the next your in some fuckin shit hole of a boozer with 8 people watching! It's all amazing though
Scott - Our journey ain't over yet and when it is all will be revealed in an autobiography.
WHERE DOES THE INSPIRATION FOR YOUR SONGWRITING COME FROM ?
Rory - that's always a tough one! It's forever changing man! I think we've got a unique style with a shot loads of influences. From the Beatles to the fuckin sex pistols!
Scott - Inspiration for songs come from anywhere really? A saying, some written words u see about, someone's situation or your own !
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A BAND JUST STARTING OUT ?
Rory - Just make sure you are as tight as a Sharks arsehole ! Practise, work hard and learn from your mistakes.
Scott - And just write good fucking tunes !!
SUM UP YOUR BAND IN 3 WORDS ?
Rory - Rock And Roll !
Scott - Best Unsigned Band !
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE BAND ?
Rory - Fucking Stardom !
Scott - Whatever we want, it's in our hands and we are ready to work for it !

trying to decide what's funnier, hyping the band based on the frontman's passing resemblance to the way a guy in another band used to look, or based on the song still being listenable "even after multiple plays"

This is how it's always been. In 1975 they were all touchstoning The Faces. Whereas in 2015, they are all touchstoning, um, oh yeah..

...Bonding over their mutual love of football and music, the brothers formed a friendship, owing especially to their shared taste in British giants like the Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Libertines, Oasis and The Jam. After several jamming sessions that took place in the dying days of 2010, The Sherlocks were born...Their debut single 'Live for the Moment' peaked at number 91 in Official UK Singles Chart, while their second single, 'Escapade', hit the charts at number 45...Unafraid of a big, rousing tune, the band have achieved an astonishing amount without label support up to now. Post the recent explosion in Radio 1 support - Greg James during daytime has been raving about them, Huw Stephens called them 'astounding and they’ve just been confirmed for BBC Introducing at SXSW - the offers are starting to come flooding in. 'Mod-look' men sought over pub assault in Glasgow
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/660/cpsprodpb/155B7/production/_88497478_88497476.jpg
Police investigating a serious assault at a pub in Glasgow have released pictures of two men they want to trace.
The attack happened in the Firewater venue, in Sauchiehall Street, on Sunday 17 January.
Both men are described as white, aged 18 to 22 years old, about 5ft 9in tall with "Mod-style hair". They both wore green jackets and blue jeans
One man has a slim to medium build and wore trainers. The other has a stocky build and wore beige pointed shoes.
