...Bonding over their mutual love of football and music, the brothers formed a friendship, owing especially to their shared taste in British giants like the Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Libertines, Oasis and The Jam. After several jamming sessions that took place in the dying days of 2010, The Sherlocks were born...Their debut single 'Live for the Moment' peaked at number 91 in Official UK Singles Chart, while their second single, 'Escapade', hit the charts at number 45...Unafraid of a big, rousing tune, the band have achieved an astonishing amount without label support up to now. Post the recent explosion in Radio 1 support - Greg James during daytime has been raving about them, Huw Stephens called them 'astounding and they’ve just been confirmed for BBC Introducing at SXSW - the offers are starting to come flooding in. And with nearly 20,000 Facebook likes already, all earned from nearly a year of hard touring, 2016 looks set to be an exciting year.“Hard work is what we are all about” says drummer, Brandon “We love playing live, we will play anywhere we can. We just want to get our music out there and see the reaction of the fans”.

Amusingly / terrifyingly Nora's hair at the moment basically makes her look like she's in one of these bands about 30% of the time.

'Mod-look' men sought over pub assault in Glasgow
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/660/cpsprodpb/155B7/production/_88497478_88497476.jpg
Police investigating a serious assault at a pub in Glasgow have released pictures of two men they want to trace.
The attack happened in the Firewater venue, in Sauchiehall Street, on Sunday 17 January.
Both men are described as white, aged 18 to 22 years old, about 5ft 9in tall with "Mod-style hair". They both wore green jackets and blue jeans
One man has a slim to medium build and wore trainers. The other has a stocky build and wore beige pointed shoes.
― Odysseus, Monday, 29 February 2016 21:00 (nine years ago)
hahaha I have seen that 'stocky' one many a time around town
― Eyeball Kicks, Monday, 29 February 2016 21:49 (nine years ago)
half of the Glasgow men under 60 is a fat mod and the other half are thin ones
― Odysseus, Monday, 29 February 2016 21:56 (nine years ago)
that's true - past 60 they're all fat

you get the odd rockabilly type but not very often. The Elvis look was huge though in the 80s here so its bound to come around.

For the line-up he had already selected the eclectic likes of The Fall, Sleaford Mods, Roky Erickson and many more.

(And I like/love all three of those acts mentioned, just.... omg so eclectic)
