Watching The DC Memorial Day concert with the family, The Beach Boys Rolling Road Show just wrapped up and Mike didn't disappoint--apparently now he sings live with this weirdass autotune filter effect.

i worked on promos for the Memorial Day concert yesterday, when they did rehearsals. Mike Love and Bruce Johnston came over and taped a couple promos with us, although they seemed to have little patience to jump through all the hoops and just did the bare minimum and then moved on. before they showed up, the twentysomething producer kept saying 'Mike Joy' was on the way and i had to correct him and hopefully helped him avoid some embarrassment. i sat there the whole time thinking "there's Mike Love, i'm one of the weirdos in the vicinity of Mike Love right now."

i could hear the BB rehearsals but couldn't see the stage from where we were, and i was really wondering about that vocal effect.

lots of tweets complaining about the autotune, some noting that Al Jardine is off on tour with Brian Wilson, and others were just happy to see 'em
