I recall a year ago, they said something about possibly sampling D'Angelo on the album. Is there any traces of that?

"she's american" is basically the only song that resembles the debut, other than the few moments i'm reminded of "menswear"

i mean cool if they go all gooey but i hope there some songs with big, prominent drums on this album as that was one of my favourite features of the first one (see: "the city", "talk", "heart out")

it is way less of a thing on this record (in fact you've prob heard most of the songs with enormous drums) but they're there on "she's american" and "the ballad of me & my brain"

Tango In The Night is a really big record for us as well, by Fleetwood Mac. That really inspired this record. Yeah, Scritti Polliti. Alexander O’Neal, funnily enough, was a big part of this record; we love that album Hearsay. Michael and Janet Jackson too.

Off topic a bit, but just listened to M83's "Graveyard Girl" for the first time in probably a few years and noticed how strikingly similar the verses are to those in "Milk".

This is a great record and I hope it's huge.
