this is easily one of the best albums i've heard in the last 5 years
― J0rdan S., Sunday, 6 March 2016 04:24 (ten years ago)
Yeah, I think KING could probably overtake it. Also Blackstar as well.
― MarkoP, Sunday, 6 March 2016 04:29 (ten years ago)
Or maybe it will just go to HAIM again.
― MarkoP, Sunday, 6 March 2016 04:33 (ten years ago)
I love the king album but this gets the edge over the king album to me
― Listen to my homeboy Fantano (D-40), Sunday, 6 March 2016 05:01 (ten years ago)
KING is Marco Rubio. Beyonce is Jeb Bush. Haim is Ted Cruz.
― Tim F, Sunday, 6 March 2016 10:55 (ten years ago)
delet this
― r|t|c, Sunday, 6 March 2016 11:04 (ten years ago)
This is a great album in the best sense. I tried cherrypicking some songs for a playlist to prune the length and that didn't work at all, it's been really thought through and you need it all for the full experience.
― Leonard Pine, Sunday, 6 March 2016 13:29 (ten years ago)
I've been persuaded, slightly against my better judgment, to go to another show in Manchester next week by their publicist.

"The Sound" is top ten on the rock songs chart but still nowhere to be found in the hot 100 (U.S.).
― timellison, Thursday, 10 March 2016 08:30 (ten years ago)
it's #3 on the bubbling under chart this week
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 10 March 2016 14:26 (ten years ago)

― Laertiades (imago), Friday, 11 March 2016 12:20 (ten years ago)
approx. 3500x better than album 1
album 1 did not have an ambient mariachi interlude called 'please be naked' for one
― Laertiades (imago), Friday, 11 March 2016 12:21 (ten years ago)
*waits patiently for lj to get to the title track*

― uberweiss, Friday, 11 March 2016 13:57 (ten years ago)

― The burrito of ennui (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 11 March 2016 13:57 (ten years ago)
They have too many young female fans, obviously.

I want to poll the new album so bad but it's too sooooooon
― self-clowning oven (Murgatroid), Sunday, 20 March 2016 04:35 (ten years ago)
bought the album on vinyl and digging it, but it didn't come w/ a download code. before i write 'em to ask for one, just wanted to make sure others' did ... or didn't. thx!
― alpine static, Monday, 11 April 2016 14:35 (ten years ago)
I recently got the first album new and that didn't come with one. I'm waiting to try and find a copy below $40 before I get the new album. If it doesn't come with a code that is absolutely ridiculous considering the price.
― Kitchen Person, Monday, 11 April 2016 14:40 (ten years ago)
i bought the latest album on vinyl and it came with a download code!
― j. winters (josh), Monday, 11 April 2016 16:23 (ten years ago)
I'm waiting to try and find a copy below $40
This is a joke, right? You're not seriously telling me that the vinyl costs four times as much as the CD?
― the top man in the language department (誤訳侮辱), Monday, 11 April 2016 16:51 (ten years ago)
This is extremely common nowadays.
― a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Monday, 11 April 2016 16:56 (ten years ago)
Unfortunately I'm not joking about that price. Most modern records it's usually $12 for the CD and around $20 for the vinyl which seems reasonable to me. There are exceptions and this is sadly one of them.
― Kitchen Person, Monday, 11 April 2016 17:16 (ten years ago)
from my very cursory investigation it looked like they actually tried to make the packaging for the i like it when you sleep vinyl actually worth the $40 where a lot of times it's just a record in a sleeve with a single piece of paper
― J0rdan S., Monday, 11 April 2016 18:21 (ten years ago)
and at least it's legit double album length, not like the recent trend of distributing albums that barely break 40 mins over four sides of vinyl.
― a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Monday, 11 April 2016 18:22 (ten years ago)

Just been listening to my "highlights" of the second album and I think this flows nicely:
The 1975UGH!A Change of HeartShe's AmericanPlease Be NakedLostmyheadThe Ballad of Me and My BrainSomebody ElseI Like it When You Sleep...The SoundThis Must Be My Dream
Hardly radical. Would maybe move "I Like It..." to the end.

no paris no credibility
