I love the king album but this gets the edge over the king album to me

This is a great album in the best sense. I tried cherrypicking some songs for a playlist to prune the length and that didn't work at all, it's been really thought through and you need it all for the full experience.

I've been persuaded, slightly against my better judgment, to go to another show in Manchester next week by their publicist.

This is a joke, right? You're not seriously telling me that the vinyl costs four times as much as the CD?

This is extremely common nowadays.

Unfortunately I'm not joking about that price. Most modern records it's usually $12 for the CD and around $20 for the vinyl which seems reasonable to me. There are exceptions and this is sadly one of them.

from my very cursory investigation it looked like they actually tried to make the packaging for the i like it when you sleep vinyl actually worth the $40 where a lot of times it's just a record in a sleeve with a single piece of paper

and at least it's legit double album length, not like the recent trend of distributing albums that barely break 40 mins over four sides of vinyl.
