i love it, but I wish they would invent a player that didn't crash every 5 minutes in Firefox

Man, I'm just falling in love. Today I was able to play the new Nadja covers album, then Fox (kinda 10cc-ish stuff from the 70's), then some early Swans, then XTC, then Chatham's Guitar Trio recorded at the Kitchen. It's rare that I go looking for something that they don't have. They've even got Fowley's International Heroes, for christ's sake! (i.e. one of the greatest albums ever made, that's not even on CD.)

i almost want to say well who the hell would try to use rhapsody as an actual media player??? but i guess that's the point. suffering through their abandonware to get to the music isn't something most people will go for, rightfully so

i don't use the browser plugin that often, seemed even more disjointed (and laggy, which the player rarely is tbh) last i checked

i was interested till i saw it doesn't support ipod, which is what i use to listen to music in my car, which is where i listen to at least half my music.
can you plug a zen player into your higher end car stereos and control the playlist from the stereo controls these days, like you can the ipod? i gotta admit, i like the idea of this rhapsody thing - it would feel strangely good to actually pay for music for a change. not to mention rapidshare/soulseek work, but they're usually sorta iffy and a pain in the ass.
oh, shit, i see it's only available in the states, never mind. fuck you rhapsody!

most of those new radios only 'control' the ipod afaik, audio-in is pretty much the way what you get for zens

I'm kind of surprised. I use it w/Windows and it's just fine...no problems at all. I've got it tied to a Sansa player (I've come to prefer Sansa to Ipod) and again no problems other than slow transfer time.

I just joined this yesterday after finding out about the death of lala.com. I hadn't noticed too many albums that I've searched for that was unavailable, but I haven't been searching too long.
$10 dollars a month ain't too bad, at least until Spotify comes to the states (if it ever does).
