This is true. All political relationships to artists are driven by unrequited lust.I always knew in my heart of hearts that Kanye would throw over Kim for me, which is why the whole maga thing was especially devastating.

kids that age are all about finding boundaries, edge cases to figure out where ideas and people fit in relation to each other and when someone they look to in their culture does something unexpected they have to go back to the drawing board and come up with a new picture

I think the idea of artists being shaped by their cities is kinda exaggerated, especially in the era of internet/globalisation.

I find Whiney's position mystifying here -- Grimes is actively caping for a union-buster, fuck that, she gets to absorb some heat for that -- but find his Primus clip just delightful so it's a wash
