They better not be lying about the total pressing too. This is the third time I’ve been had by intentionally misleading bandcamp “x copies left” slimy sales tactics. The other two times my fav store Commend (mentioned earlier) had them in stock a week after they “sold out” on bandcamp. It’s a bit shitty to drive sales by going “well yeah technically this particular box has 20 copies left in it so it’s not a lie”

If either of these guys ever complain about streaming royalties after charging $55 for 20mins of music, they can die in a fire.

Sure, $30 for a small press is fine, and yeah, the shipping does make it much worse, but what are the options? You can only buy this if you agree to the shipping fees, so shipping is part of the price of this item. This won't be for sale in my (or your) local shop.

I hope not, or I'll feel like even more of a sucker.

Vinyl Factory very wrongly tagged that comp as Yacht Rock so I had to quickly adjust my expectations when I started listening.

It is not, but it can become one! Not sure if all of that is on Spotify.
That was actually a back up plan if I was unable to connect the playlist from my iphone to whatever system will be there.

Also just want to mention Immersion II by Deepchord is one of the most beautiful & relaxing tracks I've ever heard ftr. Lots of beauty in this collection of albums but that track just nails it (on the ambient side).

Some comp recommendations that don't entirely fit the nature brief but am going to mention anyway:
- The three La Torre Ibiza compilations are all brilliant.- 'Chill Pill' from last year: https://www.discogs.com/Various-Chill-Pill/master/1601376- Isle of Jura have a new comp coming out shortly: 'Transmission Two' that looks promising (tracklist below). First one also worth checking.
1. Carl Craig – C Beams Glitter (Versus Version)2. Bochum Welt – Greenwich (Mix 2)3. John Rocca – The River Must Flow (Zulu Dub)4. Daniele Patucchi – People Come In5. Hit Man – Future Times6. Sapho – Le Train De Paris (Jura Soundsystem Edit)7. David Arch – Afro Culture8. Zann – After Work9. Hirini Melbourne – Waiata Ki Te Ra10. Jeff Bridges – Feeling Good

Second those La Torre comps.
Also Chris Coco's Balearic compilations

Claremont Editions out this week
https://soundcloud.com/claremont-56/sets/claremont-editions
When Claremont 56’s first compilation series, “Originals”, came to an end in 2013, Paul “Mudd” Murphy decided not to replace it, choosing instead to pour his energy into promoting albums and singles from the label’s growing family of artists. Six successful years later, Murphy has had a change of heart and decided to inaugurate a brand new compilation series, “Claremont Editions”.
This time round, the focus won’t be rare and obscure cuts selected by DJs, but rather new, unheard and overlooked recent material from label stalwarts, new artists and friends Murphy has made along the way. The first volume of “Claremont Editions” is naturally rather special, offering a vibrant and colourful trip through Claremont 56’s distinctively warm, sun-kissed and emotion rich sound. As befits a compilation that will be desired by DJs and sofa-bound listeners alike, Murphy has selected a mixture of dancefloor-friendly workouts and hazy, horizontal fare.

Claremont 56, yes. Blue River was a key listen on my trip to Oahu/Kauai in 2014.
