Centre left perhaps a little overconfident in the ability of cheap cava to lure ageing indie chicks back to one's chalet at Shine Weekender.

Men With Bangs
― calstars, Sunday, 21 February 2021 19:54 (three years ago) link
I can identify the nationality of British guys in Central Park and the Met by their haircut alone most of the time. You see these guys with really short hair, almost like a crewcut, but with short little bangs it looks SO WEIRD or at least it's uncommon here for men and boys with very short hair to wear it so forward idk... Like when you say "men with bangs" I equate that with moderately longish hair or shaggy hair.

There is a well-established Oasis tribute band called Oasish already (checks: since 2004!) - presumably this so-not-gonna-happen festival could only afford the Oasish tribute band, not the Oasis tribute band.

will have to update the tribute band thread tomorrow, but yes, the band reformed in 2011 with the original original singer; five years later the popular-era singer formed a tribute band called Kar-Pets.

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/mar/20/one-to-watch-the-clockworks-galway-alan-mcgee
"... it’s fair to say that Creation Records founder Alan McGee has a nose for up-and-coming guitar bands. The Clockworks first came to his attention in 2019 when guitarist Sean Connelly messaged him on Instagram, saying: “McGee: We’re the punk rock version of the Streets.” McGee was impressed enough by a demo to go and see one of their rehearsals at home in Galway, at which frontman James McGregor performed with such intensity that he broke his mic stand. McGee felt it was the best rehearsal he’d seen since early Oasis, and signed them that night."
