In what sense was Keep the Faith the biggest-selling Bon Jovi album internationally? International sales figures I've seen don't support that. Even in the UK, Slippery When Wet was certified 3x platinum and New Jersey was certified 2x platinum on 01.08.1993, the same day Keep the Faith was certified platinum, based on the data here: https://www.bpi.co.uk/brit-certified/

Hard to come up with an exact equivalent for what is described in the OP but Saga's chart placements in Germany, Sweden, Norway, and Switzerland greatly eclipsed their peaks in Canada, based on this (idk how reliable): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saga_(band)#Discography

Any Canadian acts who had hit albums but had a flop that sold well in the US?

barenaked ladies maybe?
Nah, all their US hits were also Canadian hits.

Looks like Bossanova handily outcharted the first two Pixies records internationally -- maybe it sold a little better in the US too but I definitely think both Bossanova and Trompe were seen as flops by US fans at the time, maybe relative to expectations set by the first records https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixies_discography

I always had the sense that they were more popular in the UK at the time but I didn't realize they were top 10 album material over there!

After his reasonably successful first few albums which all went Platinum, Weird Al Yankovic's Alapalooza only went Gold in the US, but it's somehow his best selling album in Canada; the only album to go 2x Platinum by Canadian standards.

I wonder if it's mostly due that album getting a lot of promotion here in Canada, and it being one of the first times that he toured Canada extensively. Like that album did not get it's own Al-TV special, but it did get it's own Al-Music special.

Or maybe it's because a bunch of people mistakenly thought Headline News (his Crash Test Dummies parody) was on it?

Definitely. I've never had two successful threads in a row.

No offence, it's just that the other thread went triple platinum, so hopes were high for this one.

Which huge artists have had a "Faith"? (member of popular two-person group where the other person doesn't really do anything, then goes solo and immediately has a hit single and is wearing jeans that show off their butt in the video)
