If trolling simply means to provoke a reaction, under that definition every figure under every branch of human history and culture is a troll I guess.

If you ask me there’s an implicit side of “trolling” and “baiting” which needs someone to actually believe you’re being serious about something oh so controversial. If everybody is on the know, it’s not trolling.

Like a successful troll is someone like Kanye where you can’t actually tell if he is great at trolling or actually mentally unstable.

I read some of the interpretations of trolling here as simply meaning that she's trying to trick you into engaging one way or another, so if you acknowledge, engage, discuss this at all, you are falling for it. The implication is that Grimes simply should not be getting any attention whatsoever, but clearly that is not a unanimous opinion.

Again, under that definition every celebrity is actually trolling.

I have a copy of Art Angels in my record collection.
