I think the pod is great but it takes a few eps to get a feel for their personalities and suss out when they're being serious or doing a bit/trolling.

I think Jason is a legitimately great host and interviewer. been following since his Tall Tales podcast, the best episodes of which were always 1 on 1s with Chris Black. long time coming.

just got my ticket to see them for the third time. matty indicated they're playing the new album in full on tour but i hope there's lots of stuff from notes on the setlist since they never got to tour that

covid wiping out the notes tour was personally disastrous

the tour i wanna see is that album in full w/ some other songs sprinkled in

i wouldn't really want them to do all of notes, it's too messy

would love all of i like it when you sleep though, especially since they didn't play here on the proper tour for it so i haven't seen many deeper cuts from it live

definitely the best "the 1975" though

this is their most sophisti-pop album easily

pretty solid overall, maybe their second-best front-to-back even if it doesn't quite reach the same highs as some of their other albums. only "part of the band" really blew me away like they have at their best but "oh caroline" is really good too. "i'm in love with you" & "all i need to hear" were really boring single choices, i was worried the album would be dull but it's pretty good after all

it's totally both

i like it a lot more than the last time they were inspired by "all my friends" (the direct melodic quote at the start of "sex" that's just annoying in how direct it is)
