Sandhja: "Gold" - why can't I stop listening to this local pop/soul singer?

This tune came out recently, and for some reason I just can't stop listening to it:

I don't really know why... The lyrics are somewhat corny, the arrangement is awfully busy, at times Sandhja's voice sounds like it's wavering, and she looks kinda awkward doing those dance moves in the video... But there's still something terribly infectious about her performance and the whole tune, especially the "I found my desire / golden empire bit". Can you explain it?

She's competing to Finland's representative in this spring's Eurovision contest... The video for "Sing It Away" is kinda low-budget, but the tune is quite well-made and catchy, and she has talent to spare, so I'm hoping she'll win the semifinals.
