"on sight" is an incredible opener and nothing else quite matches it - next three tracks are basically also superb but they all have something that stops them being totally flawless

"New Slaves" is really the best song but I voted for "I'm in It" bc I love it even though it's gross.

What's so terrible about the croissant line? I think it's great. It's funny because the rage and fury of the delivery is at odds with the ridiculousness of the request. It's one of the more memorable/quotable moments on the album. It adds an ironic twist to the song by deflating the notion of being a "God". Like, if you are truly all powerful, is grossly demanding croissants the best you can do? I think the thing many people miss about lines like this (which pop up all throughout Kanye's work) is that he is clearly aware of the absurdity of such a line and is actively trolling his more naive listeners for laffs. If you get pissed off by it, you are taking his bait.

It's really the only bad song on the album.

Just listened to the Roots/Charlie Wilson version of Bound 2 from Jimmy Fallon and now I'm annoyed that I didn't vote for it

voted 'I Am a God' because it's got everything, but when i put this on now i reach for 'Send It Up' or 'I'm in It'.

"Guilt Trip" is awesome! lowkey my favorite song here, laid-back banger and the chopped-and-screwed vocal sample is so tight

The second half of this (if we're starting with "Hold My Liquor") is the better half imo, but then I've never dug "Black Skinhead" or "New Slaves" like that. It's really f'd up in a good way. I probably like all of it except "Bound 2" better than "Blood on the Leaves" though, though I do like that track, just it's a little jam-packed sonically and the drums don't knock as hard as the rest of the album
