THIS ALBUM IS GOOD "DON'T" IS SO SINGALONGWITHABLE AND "THINKING OUT LOUD" IS AN INSTANT CLASSIC AND SO MANY OF THESE SONGS ARE REALLY DRAMATIC AND INTENSE AND HAVE EPIC CLIMAXES ("I'M A MESS" "BLOODSTREAM" "AFIRE LOVE" - ALL SO GOOD)

i like the singles, curious about the album
― some dude, Saturday, 21 June 2014 11:54 (eleven years ago)
haven't heard anything other than "sing" but have wondered how people would have reacted had justin timberlake released the exact same thing this yr. ppl are just tripping over themselves to point out the similarities to "like i love you" as if it's not super obvious or something.

"tenerife sea" is so lovely
the entire standard edition is a thumbs up, maybe even the rather adorably cringeworthy one where he raps about how he might join the 27 club bc he smokes spliffs sometimes
― uberweiss, Saturday, 21 June 2014 18:44 (eleven years ago)
Ugh, I don't hate a few songs on this.
― Herbie Handcock (Murgatroid), Saturday, 21 June 2014 18:56 (eleven years ago)
Never mind, he just started rapping.
― Herbie Handcock (Murgatroid), Saturday, 21 June 2014 19:00 (eleven years ago)
don't have to hear this guy singing baout things ever again but "could just be the bassline" is still gr8
― Wii u mario me? (wins), Saturday, 21 June 2014 19:49 (eleven years ago)
The Timberlake biting single was interesting for about two seconds, but every thing else I've heard from this is well within his already boring wheelhouse save for the couple of tracks that I'm guessing Pharrell produced. Also his "rapping" remains hilarious.
― Greer, Saturday, 21 June 2014 20:33 (eleven years ago)
Keep the first two tracks, delete the rest.
― Herbie Handcock (Murgatroid), Saturday, 21 June 2014 21:53 (eleven years ago)
Are there any raps as great as "They say I'm up and coming like I'm fucking in an elevator"???
― Tim F, Saturday, 21 June 2014 22:38 (eleven years ago)
Also yeah I will probably forgive this guy anything just for "Could Just Be The Bassline".
― Tim F, Saturday, 21 June 2014 22:39 (eleven years ago)
lol i forgot the elevator line
― dyl, Saturday, 21 June 2014 22:53 (eleven years ago)
he raps on like 1 song + yes it is awful can we move on please + listen to 'bloodstream' on repeat for a while
― uberweiss, Sunday, 22 June 2014 10:41 (eleven years ago)

successfully avoided him until i hit "E" in ilx's best singles of the year compilationthis guy is aggressively boring in an extremely boring way. i guess i don't hate this looping "Made to Love Her" cover though, the song is kind of insurmountably goodhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN39UWJ8IVkbig argument for the impact of youtube on pop music

to be clear "i was made to love her" insurmountably good, not the cover

the "dirrty" live lounge cover made me stare at myself really hard in the mirror but w/e, album's still dope
That's been my favorite song on the radio for the last couple of months.
