the internet tells me that I:Cube - Disco Cubizm (Daft Punk Mix) (and probably other mixes of the original track)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uKja4Ij75Y

samples the extended album version of The Crusaders - Street Life

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=youYairWMFM

and though i can recognize familiar tones and textures, i still can't at all tell what part of the track it samples

hug niceman (psychgawsple), Monday, 23 June 2014 23:31 (eleven years ago)

Lifelike - So Electric
http://youtu.be/G22X5X49VhM

Could be a sample of Survivor or Modern Talking or both? Do they count as disco?

Also Stardust "music sounds better with you" samples
chaka khan and might be the most popular songs you'll find in this style.

Moka, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 05:28 (eleven years ago)

I have dozens of these kind of songs in my collection but Im on mobile and lazy to post the source
samples. Will bookmark and post tomorrow.

http://www.discogs.com/Various-Disco-House/release/170218

This is the cheesiest, most low-brow compilation of songs based on disco loops filtered and welded to a house beat, but fifteen years ago my parents bought me it as an Xmas present and it gave me so many fun moments as a boy. I had literally no idea when I was 10 years old that the majority of these were taken from disco classics and I still get excited when I hear the original of one of these in the wild.

resident advisor claims the sample is "all the critics love you in new york", but it's obviously pointer sisters' "automatic" ... right?

Definitely 'Automatic'.

Can someone help me with this one

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r7F7_Uvfjo

Discogs comment says it's Discognosis - 'Step by Step'. Main music sample isn't from that track, don't know if it's a separate vocal sample?
