I mean, we all know it's between AoP13, Halloween, and EfNY but I had to put the rest on here for the sake of comprehensiveness.

As amazing as the main AoP13 theme is, I'm voting for Escape from New York because it's the best overall score.

I don't know them all that well, but I know I like Halloween III so I guess I'll vote for that

Athough the Big Trouble in Little China credits are pretty classic too and that soundtrack also has this gem.

I'm kind of feeling The Fog for this. Great expended edition came out last year.

Halloween III is indeed awesome. I think that one's as much an Alan howarth joint as a J Carps. Halloween I is one of those OSTs that I love to think about and I'm always glad it is sitting there balefully waiting to be played but then I always end up losing attention when I put it on.

https://pitchfork.com/news/john-carpenter-announces-firestarter-soundtrack-shares-new-song-listen

Read that studio disappointment in "The Thing" (fools!) pushed him out of directing the original "Firestarter", so cool that he's doing the remake's soundtrack. As a kid, I found the book pretty grim for orphaning the girl by the end. Thinking about that now, not much different than "The Road", I guess.

First Tangerine Dream, now Carpenter. Not bad for one of my lesser favorite first-wave King books.
