Stars on 45: 10 7-Inch Singles I Bought in the Early 1980s

I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but these are the 45s I remember buying in my early years of personal music acquisition. Before I really started buying albums. Most had picture sleeves. I gave them to a record-dealer friend several years ago to dispose of. Not sure how to characterize the predilections here -- power pop and bubblegum metal, I guess.

I loved that Greg Kihn song so much I later bought like 3 Greg Kihn albums, which were mostly not good. Somewhat inexplicable to me that I bought those two Joan Jett singles but not "Crimson and Clover" -- maybe my sister bought that one. And who was Martin Briley, anyway?

I used to get Martin Briley and Jim Capaldi ("Living on the Edge") confused, because they were both low-ish charting early-80s one-hit wonders (though I didn't know at the time that Capaldi had been the drummer in Traffic).

"Come On Eileen" is KROQ and for that reason alone (being a native of Los Angeles) gets the vote just over "I Love Rock n Roll."
